Experience and areas of expertise

After finishing the Higher School Certificated at Farrer Memorial Agriculture High School in Tamworth, James commenced a career in property, completing the advanced certificate in Property Agency at Tamworth TAFE and commencing employment in a Tamworth real estate franchise.

James later undertook further tertiary education at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of Business (Property studies). He has now practised as a real estate valuer for the past eight years.

In 1999, James joined a Tamworth based firm where he was involved in the valuation of residential, rural, commercial and industrial property throughout Tamworth district and North West NSW. Valuations were completed for various purposes including mortgage security, acquisition, disposal, taxation, local government objections and family law. During this time, he oversaw the operations and management of the residential valuation portfolio.

James joined Sydney based firm Hymans in 2005 where he was involved with property and plant and equipment valuations for mortgage security, insolvency, asset management and insurance purposes throughout Sydney and Regional NSW.

In September 2005, James joined Newcastle based firm Creer Property and was involved in residential, commercial and industrial valuations throughout the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie districts. He resigned from his position with Creer Property in January 2007 returning to his home town of Tamworth taking over as Director of B J Cole & Co. James continues a strong association with Creer Property.
